A public hearing on the proposed Sea Dance housing tract will highlight Monday’s meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council.

The council meets at 6 p.m. in its chambers in the Civic Center, 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown Avenue).

At issue are several measures, including an ordinance, which would clear the way for a 51-home development at the former Franklin School site at 14422 Hammon Dr., in an area west of Springdale Street and southeast of Rancho Road.

The development on the 8.75-acre site would include a 1.3-acre public park.

Also on the agenda are:

  • introduction of an ordinance making shared mobility devices – typically scooters and bicycles – or businesses unlawful;
  • reports from the city attorney regarding the city’s lawsuit against SB 54 and the filing of new suits against illegal businesses, including illegal residential rehabilitation facilities.
