Pedestrian killed crossing Beach Blvd.

A 19-YEAR-OLD resident of Colorado was killed when struck by an automobile while he was crossing Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach early Sunday morning (Shutterstock).

A man walking across the street in Huntington Beach early Sunday morning was fatally struck by an automobile.

According to Motor Sgt. Eric Warken of the HBPD, the incident took place at about 3:17 a.m. when the accident was reported in the area of Beach Boulevard and Warner Avenue.

Arriving officers found the pedestrian in the roadway with “significant trauma” to the head and body. The man, a 19-year-old resident of Greeley Colorado, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe that the pedestrian was crossing Beach outside the crosswalk at a point just north of the intersection. The vehicle was moving north on a green light when the collision took place.
