Santiago High’s softball team surged into the CIF-SS Division 6 championship game with a 24-1 hammering of Woodland Christian Tuesday at the Cavalier diamond.

The Cavs (26-1) will face Nordhoff High (15-8) on Saturday at a time and location to be announced.

Santiago was the only local team to win its semifinal game on Tuesday. In other softball contests, Huntington Beach lost 9-2 to Norco on Division 1 play, while La Quinta fell 7-0 in Division 7 action to Western Christian in Upland.

In Division 1 baseball play, Huntington Beach lost 6-2 to Harvard-Westlake in Studio City.
