The City of Garden Grove is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a non-compensated commissioner on the Traffic Commission. Applicants must be and remain a Garden Grove resident and a registered voter until the term expires in December 2020.

Regular Traffic Commission meetings are held on the first Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November, at 6 p.m., at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Ave. Applicants must be able to attend all meetings.
Commissioners serve as advisors to the Garden Grove City Council, providing recommendations that become part of the city’s decision-making process. Traffic commissioners give counsel on traffic control devices, public transportation, traffic regulations, and standards for parking, vehicular, and public safety. In addition, the Traffic Commission must communicate recommendations to the Planning Commission on matters that pertain to the circulation element of the city’s general plan, as well as proposed transportation related regional and state planning programs.
