A MAN was fatally shot by Garden Grove police on Thursday afternoon (Shutterstock).

One person is dead in an incident Thursday afternoon in which Garden Grove police fatally shot a man in the 10000 block of Bolsa Avenue, near the city limit with Westminster.

The shooting took place around 3:40 p.m. according to reports. GGPD detectives were in the area conducting an investigation in Westminster.

The deceased man was not identified. No details about why the police fired on the man have been released.
