Two are arrested in attempted murder

TWO PERSONS have been arrested for the attempted murder of a man in Huntington Beach (Shutterstock).

Two suspects have been arrested in the shooting of a man Sunday afternoon in Huntington Beach.

According to Officer Angela Bennett of the HBPD, those held were Dennis Dang, 29, of Westminster and Casey Ngo, 31, of Midway City.

The incident took place on Oct. 20 at about 12:17 p.m. in the area of Magnolia Street and Warner Avenue. Police responded to a report of a man lying on the ground bleeding.

He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives determined that the shooter and the victim were known to each other. On Monday Dang was arrested for attempted murder.

On Wednesday, Ngo was arrested and booked for attempted murder as well.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time, and there’s no update on the victim’s condition, which was last listed as critical. Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
