Four persons are dead – including the gunman – in a mass shooting incident Friday morning at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola. Florida.
According to naval officials, the shooter was an aviation officer in the Saudi Air Force. He opened fire in a classroom, injuring eight other people.
Two sheriff’s deputies were also hurt, one of who killed the gunman, who used a pistol. The base is closed until further notice.
Whether the incident was a terrorist act has not been determined.
The incident took place one day after a sailor fatally shot two persons at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial in Honolulu before killing himself.
He was identified as G. Romero, 22-year-old Navy submarine technician, according to the Associated Press.
