The National Hockey League’s Pacific Division has turned into a collection of haves and have-nots.

In the upper half, five teams are bunched together within four points, and all have at least 50 points. In the lower half, where the Anaheim Ducks currently dwell, all the teams are within three points, and all have more losses than wins.

The Ducks took another step in the wrong direction on Tuesday night, falling 4-3 to the Columbus Blue Jackets at Honda Center. The loss put their record at 17-21-5, worth 39 points and keeping the team in seventh place.

Ryan Getllaf had a goal and an assist for the Ducks, and Ryan Miller made 27 saves. Also scoring for Anaheim was Ondrej Kase, who lit the red lamp twice.

The Ducks are next in action Thursday, hosting the Dallas Stars. They then visit the Chicago Black Hawks on Saturday and the St. Louis Blues on Monday.
