A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, April 17 for two men accused of murdering a woman by running her over during a purse-snatching attempt in Garden Grove in May 2019.

According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Gregory Anthony Walker and Giovanni Solomon Guy will face murder charges in Central Justice Center in Santa Ana at 8:30 a.m.

The two are charged with trying to steal the purse of Nga Ngoc Nguyen, 32, in a shopping center in the area of Westminster Boulevard and Brookhurst Street in Garden Grove the morning of May 8.

Nguyen was fatally injured when she was allegedly dragged along the ground by Walker and then ran over by Guy. The suspects fled the scene and were arrested in Los Angeles County.
