12 deaths, 205 new corona cases

205 NEW cases of coronavirus – down from 248 Tuesday – were reported by the Orange County Health Care Agency (Pexels/Anna Shvets).

Deaths from the coronavirus continued in double digits in Wednesday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency.

The OCHCA reported 10 deaths, compared to 12 the day before. However there were none the day previous.

Total deaths during the pandemic have reached 243. Of those, 124 are from skilled nursing facilities.

New cases in Wednesday’s report totaled 205, a decline from Tuesday’s 248. The cumulative total is 9,197. Of those, 1,003 are from skilled nursing facilities and 387 from county jails.

Of the overall total of cases, 4,414 are judged to have recovered.

Three hundred twenty-eight cases are hospitalized, with 131 in intensive care units.

The city counts show Santa Ana with 1,977 cases (up 38), followed by Anaheim with 1754 (up 44), Garden Grove with 532 (up 12), Huntington Beach with 452 (up by eight) and Orange with 399 (up eight).

Westminster has 198 (up 3) and Stanton 107 (up three).
