The number of new COVID-19 cases reported to the Orange County Health Authority on Thursday is 905. That’s the second time in three days when the total topped 900.
Cumulative cases to date are now at 32,638. Of that, 17,091 are considered recovered. Twenty-two deaths were reported, bringing the total number of deceased from the coronavirus in Orange County to 543.
The OCHCA report shows 690 cases now in hospitals, with 233 in intensive care.
Thursday’s test-positivity score is 12.6 percent, down from 12.9. That’s a measure of the percentage of those tested who turn out “positive” for the virus, regardless of whether they show symptoms or not.

- Santa Ana: 6,129 (138).
- Anaheim: 5,621 (135).
- Garden Grove: 1,726 (18).
- Huntington Beach: 1,549 (44).
- Orange: 1,513 (20).
Westminster has 602 cases with 15 deaths; Stanton has 384 cases with five deaths.
