A PRE-TRIAL hearing has been scheduled for a man accused in the 2019 stabbing murder of his mother in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Thursday for a man arrested over a year ago in the killing of his mother in Garden Grove.

Jonathan Michael Warner, then 28, was arrested on Aug. 8, 2019 in the murder of Vivian Wolf, 62. Her body was found under a comforter at her  home in the 14000 block of Flower Street by friends worried when she did not return phone calls.

She had been beaten, bludgeoned and stabbed.

Garden Grove police said Warner was spotted walking in the area of 9th Street and College Avenue. Police seeking to speak to him said he attempted to assault the officer and tried to flee on foot but was captured.

Once in police custody, according to the GGPD, Warner confessed to killing his mother and was booked into Orange County Jail.

The pretrial hearing will be held in the West Justice Center in Westminster at 8:30 a.m.
