Woman arrested in kidnap try

A WOMAN wanted for an attempted kidnapping of a child in Santa Ana was arrested today (Friday) in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

A woman suspected of trying to kidnap a toddler from his front yard in Santa Ana on Tuesday was arrested by Garden Grove police today (Friday).

According to SAPD, the suspect began staring at a boy playing in his front yard on Jackson Street at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday. She made an attempt to grab the child, claiming it was her son. The mother intervened and brought the child inside.

The suspect was seen walking away northbound on Jackson. A social media post claimed the woman under suspicion had made other unreported attempts to kidnap small children, according to the SAPD.

On Friday, Garden Grove police spotted the suspect and arrested her for attempted kidnapping.  Further information about the suspect was not available as of this writing.
