4.6 quake rattles Orange Co.

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck Southern California late Friday night (Shutterstock).

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook West Orange County at 11:38 p.m.

The temblor was centered one mile south from South San Gabriel in Los Angeles County, according to a computer monitoring station at Cal Tech in Pasadena. The shaking lasted about 10 seconds and was felt as far west and north as Ventura and as far east as Riverside.

There were no initial reports of damage or injuries.
