Traffic on the San Diego (405) Freeway gets into a mess due to a lot of reasons, but rarely from a crash into it, rather than upon it.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a large truck topped by a forklift crashed it into the Bolsa Avenue bridge in Westminster around 7:45 a.m. Monday damaging the wooden beams underpinning the under-construction overpass.

Pieces of wood littered the roadway and onto a freeway offramp, and all lanes north of the freeway at Beach Boulevard were closed from 8:30 to 11 a.m.  There were no known injuries.
