New OC cases in big decline

ORANGE COUNTY is showing a drop in new coronavirus cases and deaths in Monday’s tally (Shutterstock).

After three days of rising numbers of coronavirus cases, reported new infections dropped sharply in Monday’s count by the Orange County Health Care Agency.

The latest tally is 308 cases, down from 512 on Sunday. Deaths fell from three to zero.

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 rose slightly from 201 to 205 and cases in intensive care units increased from 72 to 76.

Here is a list of the OC cities with the most coronavirus cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 12,017 (320)
  • Anaheim: 10,703 (327)
  • Garden Grove: 3,462 (111)
  • Fullerton: 3,014 (103)
  • Orange: 2,910 (72)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,734 (86).

Westminster has 1,242 cases and 31 deaths. Stanton has 744 cases and 17 deaths.
