A special meeting of the Stanton City Council will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. to consider approval of agreements for the operation of development of two motels to serve as shelters and resource centers for the homeless.
On the agenda will be two agreements with affiliates of Jamboree Housing Corporation to convert the Tahiti Motel and the Stanton Inn and Suites for interim and supportive housing for the unsheltered. The deal would be in place for “five and fifty-five” years.
The Tahiti Motel is located at 11850 Beach Blvd., north of Chapman Avenue. The Stanton Inn and Suites is at 7161 Katella Ave., east of Knott Street.
Tuesday’s meeting will be held via teleconference.
