More COVID-19 patients reported

HAND-WASHING, mask-wearing and social distancing are weapons against the spread of coronavirus, say health officials (Pexels/Cottonbro).

New highs were reached in hospitalizations for the coronavirus and patients in intensive care units from COVID-19, according to Monday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency.

Cases were up from 3,121 on Sunday to 3,250, but deaths declined from 14 to zero. Patients in county hospitals rose from 1,236 to 1,287 and ICU patients increased from 284 to 288.

Additionally, in the Southern California Region (of which Orange County is a part) the adjusted rate of ICU beds available is at 2.7 percent with the unadjusted rate at 13.4 percent. Fifteen percent is the goal.

  • Santa Ana: 20,776 (340)
  • Anaheim: 17,838 (364)
  • Garden Grove: 6,456 (120)
  • Orange: 5,075 (78)
  • Fullerton: 5,013 (124)
  • Huntington Beach: 4,330 (93).

Westminster has 2,605 cases and 37 deaths. Stanton has 1,302 cases and 18 deaths.
