Westminster police are asking the public’s help in gathering information about an assault that happened earlier this month at a restaurant and lounge.

According to the WPD, the incident took place on Dec. 12 at 1 a.m. at the Cordon Blue, 15380 Beach Blvd. between McFadden and Bolsa avenues.

Anyone who was a witness or has knowledge about the incident or possible suspects is asked to contact Detective M. Lopez at (714) 548-3773 or mlopez@westminster-ca-.gov .

SA kidnapping suspect is arrested

A man suspected of kidnapping a woman from a Santa Ana hotel was arrested this week in Victorville.

According to the SAPD, a woman called police on Dec. 21 to report that her friend has been forcibly taken from their room at the La Quinta Inn. About 24 hours later, the victim managed to escape and went to the Victorville Sheriff’s station.  On Dec. 29, Santa Ana police detectives located the suspect’s residence and arrested Adrian Alloway without incident. He was allegedly in possession of a semiautomatic pistol.

Alloway was booked for kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
