Coronavirus numbers in Friday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency continued to show improvement in the battle against COVID-19.
According to the OCHCA, two of four major metrics showed declines, and the other two had modest increases to figures that were still historically low. The number of confirmed new cases rose to 90 from 81 the day before. The number of patients being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care units increased from 22 to 23.
However, deaths dropped from 11 to six, and hospitalizations declined from 131 to 118.
The to-date total of cases in the county is at 250,854, of which 243,165 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,761.

Westminster has had 7,086 cases and 195 deaths. Stanton has had 3,146 cases and 66 cases.
