Key COVID stats remain low

ORANGE COUNTY stats for coronavirus remain low (Shutterstock).

Vital statistics about the coronavirus in Orange County are staying low, although two categories showed some increases on Thursday.

According to the county health agency, confirmed new cases rose from 75 on Wednesday to 95 on Thursday, but that’s still below Tuesday’s count of 131. Also showing an increase was the number of deaths, up for seven to 13.

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 ticked down from 114 to 113, and patients being treated for coronavirus in intensive care units declined to 29 to 28.

The cumulative number of coronavirus is at 251,611, of which 243,910 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,810.

  • Santa Ana: 44,596 (838)
  • Anaheim: 41,600 (838)
  • Garden Grove: 16,483 (380)
  • Orange: 11,792 (246)
  • Fullerton: 11,273 (291)
  • Huntington Beach: 10,600 (209)
  • Irvine: 10,476 (83)

Westminster has had 7,105 cases and 199 deaths. Stanton has had 3,147 cases and 66 deaths.
