Zero COVID deaths; cases drop

NEW CASES of coronavirus Monday in the OC and no deaths were reported (Shutterstock).

There were zero deaths from the coronavirus in Orange County in Monday’s report from the county health care agency. According to the OCHCA, that was a decline from eight on Sunday and five on Saturday.

Cases dropped from 196 on Sunday to 120 on Monday.

Hospitalizations also dropped, from 124 to 120. The only increase in the major metrics on COVID-19 was in patients being treated in intensive care units rose from 25 to 29.

The to-date total of cases in Orange County is now at 252,436, of which 244,689 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,839.

  • Irvine: 10,547 (83)

Westminster has had 7,144 cases and 200 deaths. Stanton has had 3,160 cases and 66 deaths.
