Cases decline for third day

NEW ORANGE COUNTY coronavirus cases decreased for the third consecutive day (Shutterstock).

It was another day of rises and falls in Wednesday’s report on coronavirus from the Orange County Health Care Agency.

The number of confirmed new cases dropped from 102 to 89. That was the third straight day of declines. The number of patients being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care units ticked down from 31 to 30.

Conversely, hospitalizations rose from 115 to 122 and deaths increased from 10 to 13.

The to-date total of Orange County cases is at 252,627, of which 244,916 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,862.

  • Santa Ana: 44,682 (842)
  • Anaheim: 41,729 (850)
  • Garden Grove: 16,584 (383)
  • Orange: 11,852 (247)
  • Fullerton: 11,339 (295)
  • Huntington Beach: 10,667 (214)
  • Irvine: 10,562 (83)

Westminster has had 7,145 cases and 200 deaths. Stanton has had 3,164 cases and 67 deaths.
