Garden Grove

Teen Action group is forming

THE GARDEN GROVE TEEN ACTION Collaborative is forming (City of GG image).

The City of Garden Grove invites local teens, ages 13-17, to attend the Garden Grove Teen Action Collaborative (GGTAC) kick-off meeting, on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 4 p.m. The in-person meeting will be held at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Ave. Interested teens may RSVP by visiting ggcity.org/ggtac or calling (714) 741-5200.

Administered by the Community Services Department and other local organizations, GGTAC is an opportunity for Garden Grove teens to serve their community in a leadership capacity, while gaining career development skills and professional guidance. Participants will obtain volunteer hours at city-wide special events, service projects, and working with various local non-profits. Additional program features include excursions, career and leadership trainings and workshops, and an annual Teen Leadership Summit.

GGTAC meetings are held monthly, on the third Thursday of every month. Participants are asked to take part in all meetings and complete a variety of commitments, such as attending a Garden Grove City Council meeting.

All attendees are required to wear face masks. For more information, call (714) 741-5200.
