La Quinta High’s football team picked up its first Garden Grove League win Thursday night with a 29-14 triumph over Bolsa Grande.

The Aztecs are now 1-2 in league and 2-6 overall, while the Matadors are 0-3 and 3-5.

Los Alamitos jumped out to 49-0 halftime lead and coasted to a 56-7 Sunset League win over Fountain Valley at Sheue Field. The Griffins solidified their grip on first place, improving to 3-0 in conference play and 7-1 overall. The Barons are 0-3 and 1-7.

Santiago defeated Los Amigos 29-10 in a game of two GGL unbeatens. The Cavaliers are 3-0 in league and are 7-1 overall. The Lobos are 2-1 in league and 4-4 overall.
