Westminster police are asking the public’s help in identifying a female suspect wanted for allegedly making a “criminal threat.”

Being sought is a woman accused of entering the Lan Anh Kitchen, 6944 Westminster Blvd. (just west of Goldenwest Street) on March 2 at around 6:08 p.m. and telling an employee there she had lost her ATM card and demanded money. She is also accused of threatening the victim, saying she would throw acid in her face.

The suspect is described as a female Vietnamese, around 50 years old and five feet tall. Her eyes and hair are both black. She was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, a gray sweater, gray pants and loafers and pushing a walking cart containing bags.

She speaks only Vietnamese and may be mentally ill or homeless, say police.

California Penal Code 422 makes it a crime to “communicate a threat to someone that can result in great bodily injury or death.”

Anyone who locates this woman is asked to contact Investigator Mach at (714) 898-3315, ext. 4571 by phone or by e-mail at pmach@westminster-ca.gov.
