A man has been detained in connection with a homicide in an Anaheim home.
According to the APD, police were notified Tuesday after 6:30 p.m. of a man who was at a residence in the 500 block of N. Philadelphia Street (east of Anaheim Boulevard) in violation of a court order.
Arriving officers attempted to contact the man, who was standing outside the home. He tried to flee back into the residence through a broken window, sustaining cuts before he was apprehended, say police.
Entering the home, officers found a man identified only as a dead adult male Hispanic who appeared to have sustained traumatic injuries.
The detained man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his lacerations. He’s now being held on suspicion of murder.
At present, the decedent is not being identified pending positive identification from the Orange County Coroner’s office. The detained man will be identified after he’s been booked.
