Quick action by firefighters kept a garage fire in Seal Beach early Sunday morning from spreading to the main house.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the blaze was reported at 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of Crestview Avenue. Arriving crews found the garage fully engulfed with flames but were able to contain it quickly and then extinguish it.

Firefighters checked inside and made certain all residents were outside and that the flames had not reached the home. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Assistance was provided by the Long Beach and Huntington Beach fire departments.
