House panel subpoenas Trump

A subpoena was issued Friday to former president Donald Trump by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

According to the Associated Press, Trump will be called to testify either in person or by teleconference “beginning on or about” Nov. 14.

Some lawmakers are claiming that Trump “personally orchestrated “ an effort to block the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as president and vice president.

The subpoena also demands a variety of documents including correspondence between and among the White House, members of Congress and extremist groups.
