Vehicle chase ended up in L.A.

TWO PERSONS were arrested Saturday morning after a vehicle chase from Westminster to Los Angeles (WPD photo).

Two people were arrested in Los Angeles after a police pursuit that began in Westminster early Saturday morning.

According to the WPD, a police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for vehicle code violations in the area of Bolsa Avenue and Bushard Street at about 1:30 a.m.

The vehicle didn’t stop and the chase was on, traveling all the way into L.A., where California Highway Patrol units handled the remainder of the pursuit. Once the fleeing vehicle stopped, its two occupants tried to flee, say police, but were taken into custody without incident

A 23-year-old Costa Mesa man and a 42-year-old Santa Ana man were arrested for felony evading and drug charges.

Also assisting in the incident were the Anaheim Police Department helicopter “Angel,” and Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
