With just 14,491 votes left to process after today (Monday), three local elections remain too close to call … probably.

In the Ocean View School District, voters are choosing three trustees for the governing board. Morgan Westmoreland  now has a 57-vote lead over John Briscoe for the third seat. The Orange County Registrar of Voters reports Morgan Westmoreland with 12,631 votes (19.52 percent) to 12,574 votes (19.44 percent) for Briscoe.

In the Westminster City Council contest for District 1, Amy Phan West has opened up a 10-vote lead over John Gentile by 3,138 votes (50.08 percent) to 3,128 (49.92 precent).

Measure O, which would levy a tax on cannabis in Huntington Beach, is leading by 42,412 “yes” votes to 35,174 “no” votes. However, the votes in favor are at 54.66 percent, short of the 55 percent plus one required to pass, according to the city clerk’s office. Opposed were 45.34 percent.
