A shooting in the northern California city of Goshen took the life of six people – including a 6-month-old baby – on Monday.
According to Reuters, authorities say there are “at least” two suspects who are still at large. The shooting is not considered random but a targeted shooting that may include gang associations and perhaps narcotics.
Authorities responded to the sound of shootings and one victim was found alive, but pronounced dead later at the hospital.
Biden vows to use veto
President Joe Biden vowed on Monday to use his veto to stop legislation by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives that might worsen inflation, increase taxes on the working class and help the rich, according to USA Today.
“That’s how they’re starting their new term,” said Biden. “If any of these bills happen to reach my desk, I will veto them.”

Sports: Playoff picture will clear up
The final wild card NFL playoff game is set for tonight (Monday) at 5:15 with the Dallas Cowboys vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The divisional round will be played on this coming Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday it’ll be the New York Giants at the Philadelphia Eagles in NFC action, as well as the Jacksonville Jaguars at the Kansas City Chiefs in AFC play.
On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers will host the winner of the Tampa Bay-Dallas game in the NFC, while in the AFC, it will be the Cincinnati Bengals at the Buffalo Bills.

The West Orange County area can look forward to some rare winter weather on Tuesday: sunshine. The daytime high should be 60 with an overnight low of 42. Partly cloudy weather is expected to roll in on Wednesday with a high of 62 and low of 42. Morning showers are predicted for Thursday and a high of 58 (39 low). But sunny skies will return on Friday and Saturday.
