A special meeting with a closed session of the Garden Grove City Council will be held on Saturday morning to consider the matter of appointing a new city manager.

The sitting city manager, Scott Stiles, is leaving the city to take a similar post in Palm Springs, starting his new job on March 6.

The council can select from among current city leadership to serve as interim or temporary city manager, and/or begin the process of recruiting from within City Hall or outside the city for that position.

Saturday’s session is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in the Courtyard Center, 12732 Main St.
