Spread of garage fire stopped

A garage fire at a home in Cypress was stopped from spreading through the efforts of Orange County Fire Authority firefighters Wednesday night.

According to the OCFA, the blaze was reported at 8:28 p.m. in the 6800 block of Breton Way (west of Knott Street and north of Orangewood Avenue).

An arriving engine and medic unit found a fully involved garage fire that was threatening a condominium and an adjacent garage. An aggressive attack by firefighters prevented the fire from spreading.

There were no reported injuries. Fire investigators were on the scene and no cause was initially determined. Assistance was provided by Anaheim Fire and Rescue as well as Cypress police.
