Hit-&-run crash investigated

THE PUBLIC’S help is being sought regarding an investigation into a hit-and-run accident Thursday night (Shutterstock).

The public’s assistance is requested regarding a hit and run collision that took place on Thursday at approximately 11:24 p.m, in Huntington Beach

The HBPD responded to reports of a pedestrian in the roadway on Beach Boulevard near Stark Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious 36-year-old male in the roadway with severe injuries. The Huntington Beach Fire Department responded and transported the individuals to a local hospital.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears as though the individual was walking across Beach Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle in the northbound lanes of Beach Boulevard. 

After the collision, the driver left the scene of the incident, and as of this time, has yet to contact the HBPD.
