The Cavaliers are on track

The new state-of-the-art athletic facilities at Santiago High School in Garden Grove were dedicated on Monday afternoon.

New to the Trask Avenue campus is an all-weather nine-lane synthetic running track as well as a field to be used for football and soccer.

On hand were Garden Grove Unified School District leaders including Superintendent Gabriela Mafi, GGUSD Board Trustees Walter Muneton and Bob Harden and Garden Grove City Councilman George Brietigam. 

After the ceremonies, Cavalier athletes took the field, along with Muneton (at left) who displayed his futbol skills .

The Garden Grove Unified School District is a K-12 system serving most of Garden Grove and portions of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
