Homeless man dies in accident

A PEDESTRIAN was fatally injured early Monday evening in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

A 35-year-old homeless man was fatally injured in a traffic accident Monday night in Garden Grove.

According to Sgt. Royce Wimmer of the GGPD, the incident took place at the intersection of Clinton Street and Westminster Avenue in the Buena-Clinton area in the southeast of the city around 10:28 p.m.

Orange County Fire Authority personnel transported the man to an area hospital when he was pronounced dead. 

The preliminary investigation indicated that the man was crossing Westminster Avenue on foot when we was struck by a vehicle. The driver was cooperative and drugs or alcohol don’t appear to be factor.
