The Backyard Neighborhood Lunch and Annual Meeting of the Garden Grove Neighborhood Association will take place Saturday.
This 20th event is free and will be at 12381 Meade St. with the doors opening at 11 a.m. It will be an opportunity to socialize, hear guest speakers, enjoy a complimentary lunch and music and more.
Guest speakers will include:
- State Sen. Janet Nguyen;
- City Manager Lisa Kim, who will introduce Niki Wetzel (the new community development director) and Ursula Luna-Reynosa (new economic development director);
- Police Chief Amir El-Farra;
- Orange County Fire Authority Garden Grove Battalion Chief Craig Covey;
- Public Works Director Bill Murray.
City Councilmember Stephanie Klopfenstein (Fifth District) will serve as master of ceremonies.
There will be a pickle ball demonstration, a disc jockey for music and sound and a 50-50 raffle.
