Rancho Alamitos came on strong in the second half Thursday night to defeat Savanna 33-19 in a non-league football game.

The Vaqueros are now 2-1 and will host Godinez Fundamental next Thursday at Bolsa Stadium.

Pacifica lost 49-7 to Glendora in a non-league contest. The Mariners are 0-3 and are off to one of the most challenging starts in recent seasons.

The M’s will seek their first victory of 2023 on Friday, Sept. 15 against Walnut High at Bolsa Stadium.

Marina lost 21-15 to Redlands on the road in a non-league game. The Vikings are now 1-2 and hope to square their  record at 2-2 on next Thursday when they visit district rival Huntington Beach High at Sheue Field.

Magnolia High lost 42-6 to district rival Katella in a non-league game on Thursday. The Sentinels are 0-3 and will try to get their first win on Friday, Sept. 15 at Lynwood.
