A Community Spotlight recognizing Joe Hammer and Andrea Perez as the 2023-24 Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce Man and Woman of the Year tops the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove City Council.

Hammer is a long-time business operator in Garden Grove, including a moving company, and Perez – who is active in many volunteer roles – served as president of the Strawberry Festival this year.

Also on the agenda are:

• a public hearing on adoption of amendments to the city general plan;
• an update on the city’s strategic plan to address homelessness, and;
• a report on the recent Anyang (Korea) Sister City 50th Anniversary Visit and Tourism Program Report that took place from Sept. 17-23.

The council will meet in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Avenue at 6:30 p.m.

The following council meeting is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the same location.
