An elderly Westminster woman has been hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle Tuesday evening in Westminster.
According to Commander Kevin MacCormick of the WPD, the incident was reported at 6:47 p.m. as a traffic collision in the 13500 block of Beach Boulevard (near Trask Avenue). Arriving officers and Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded to the location, where an automobile had collided with a pedestrian in the southbound lanes of Beach.
The woman – identified only as a 79-year-old Vietnamese woman – was treated at the scene and transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange for further treatment.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Sgt. Anil Adam at (714) 548-3770.
