Robbery ends in crash, arrest

An armed robbery Friday evening in Garden Grove led a to a pursuit, a crash and two arrests.

According to Sgt. Edgar Valencia of the GGPD, officers were dispatched to the area of Westminster Avenue and Brookhurst Street at 6:40 p.m. regarding a report of an armed robbery.

The victim told police she was sitting in a parking lot eating with a friend when she was approached by a man with a handgun, He demanded cash and left with about $200 and fled the scene.

About one hour later, members of the GGPD Gang Suppression Unit were in the area and spotted the suspect vehicle the victims had described. The suspects fled and a pursuit ensued.

The suspect vehicle raced away to the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Westminster Acenue and went out of control and collided with a flower shop at the southeast corner.

One suspect, a man, tried to flee on foot but was apprehended and the handgun was recovered. The other suspect, the driver of the vehicle was also detained at the scene.

The employee of the flower shop had sustained injuries from the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

Both suspects were booked into Orange County Jail on multiple felony charges. They are identified as Martin Eusebio, 18, of Garden Grove and Vivian Martinez, 18, of Tustin.

I witnessed the accident my family and I were a car away from being hit, after the car crashed into the building 2 suspects came out running the driver and the passenger and then a women suspect a back seat passenger came out running as well. Also one other suspect stayed at the seen I believe he was unconscious.
