Confirmed new cases of coronavirus in Orange County increased for the second consecutive week. This week’s tally is at 872, up from 761 last week and nearly double what it was two weeks ago at 437.

According to statistics posted by the Orange County Health Care Agency, deaths declined this week from 11 to nine, hospitalizations dropped from 104 to 82 and the use of intensive care units to treat coronavirus fell from 15 to 11.

To date there have been 743,818 cases in Orange County. The death toll is at 8,454. occovid19.ochealthinfo.com.
