A single car accident early Sunday morning in Westminster resulted in the death of a Huntington Beach man.
According to WPD Sgt. Eddie Esqueda, the incident was reported at 1:52 a.m. in the area of the westbound lanes of McFadden Avenue and Vermont Street.
Arriving officers found that a white BMW had crashed into a light pole and the adult male driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
The Orange County Fire Authority – which provides fire and paramedic service for Westminster – responded and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other occupants of the BMW and there were no other vehicles involved.
Pending notification of the next of kin, the driver was identified only as a male 18-year-old Huntington Beach resident.
