
AN ANAHEIM man was fatally injured in a traffic accident in Garden Grove on Wednesday (Shutterstock).
A collision between a motorcyclist and a trash truck took the life of a 56-year-old Anaheim man on Wednesday in Garden Grove.
According to GGPD Traffic Investigator John Yergler, the incident took place in the 11700 block of Western Avenue (between Chapman and Orangewood avenues) . Several calls of an injury motor vehicle accident were received at around 1:12 p.m.
Arriving officers found the motorcyclist unresponsive . They gave medical aid and were relieved by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics who took him to a nearby trauma center where he was later pronounced dead.
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The collision scene was processed and photographed by the Orange County Crime Lab, and the Orange County Coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision.
