Ed Arnold, a veteran broadcaster and local icon, will be the theme grand marshal for the 2024 Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Parade on Saturday, May 25. The theme is “Celebrating Our Hometown.”

Serving as celebrity grand marshals are the brothers of Wahoo’s Fish Taco: Win, Ed and Mingo.

Other celebrities will be Frank Kramer, Wendy Burch, Chris Tzorin, Courtney Conlogue, Danielle Lawson, Sean Lee, Pat O’Connell, Pyper Braun, Nikki SooHoo, Kayden Koshelev, Leigh Steinberg, CeCe Valencia, Nour Milla, Compa Gomez, Johnny Ice, Michael David, Jordan Fitspatrick, Sarita Tello, Jim “Poorman” Trenton and Victor Mendez.

The festival parade steps off at Chapman Avenue and 9th Street and heads west on Chapman, turning south at Euclid Street and traveling all the way to the festival grounds in the Village Green park at Stanford Avenue.

It’s one of the highlights of the festival, begun in 1958 and which continues to be one of the largest community events in the western United States.

“The 64th Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival is set up to be our best one yet,” said Mark Mahoney, festival association psresident. “We are honored to have so many well-known faces joining our celebrations and representing what makes this annual event so special.”

The festival runs from Friday, May 24 to Monday, May 27 over Memorial Day weekend.
