A SANTA ANA woman has been arrested on charges of murder of an Anaheim man (Shutterstock).

A Santa Ana woman is in jail and an Anaheim man is dead after what police describe as a “gang-related” shooting.

Jannett Cureno, 24, was booked into the Anaheim Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Jose Andres Abrego, 30, suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident took place on Saturday around 2:30 a.m. in the 800 block of W. Cottonwood Circle. Police were called in response to a report of a shooting. Responding officers found not only a gunshot victim, but also another adult male who was stabbed at least once, but not fatally.

The suspect fled the screen but was located and arrested in the 300 block of Newhope Street in Santa Ana around 1 p.m.
