Even more accolades are coming to the Pacifica High School softball team.

The Mariners – who won their second consecutive CIF-SS Division 1 title – will be honored in the Community Spotlight at Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove City Council.

Pacifica won the Empire League title and finished the season at 27-2 overall, good enough to be ranked best in California and third in the United States.

Also on the agenda for Tuesday are the awarding of contracts for replacement of two roofs at the Garden (Grove) Amphitheater campus in the Village Green park as well as roof replacement at the Chapman Branch Library (Chapman Avenue near Magnolia Street) and Tabor Branch Library (Bailey Street near Valley View Street).

Additionally, there’s the awarding of a contract to replace four HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) units at the Courtyard Center in Village Green .

The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. (near Euclid Street).
