Enough money to carry over

A lot of cities struggle with financial problems and  even deficits.

But on Tuesday night, the Stanton City Council will have a more pleasant money task; carrying over revenue to the new fiscal year that wasn’t spent this year.

A total of $3,741,670 will be “carried over” for five line items. They are:

  • funding for a facilitator for the strategic plan update ($15,000);
  • restriping the Stanton Central Park parking lot ($10,000;
  • asphalt repair at various locations ($40,000);
  • temporary/emergency relocation costs for housing ($3,726,670);
  • consulting services for a sewer rate study ($50,000).

Also on Tuesday, the council will consider the redesign of the city’s official logo, branding and messaging.

The council will meet in City Hall, 7800 Katella Ave. at 6:30 p.m.
