Lobos stay unbeaten with big win; Seahawks get a victory

Oscar Galindo rushed for three touchdowns as Los Amigos (4-0) remained unbeaten with a 52-14 win over the Nogales Nobles in La Puente on Thursday night.

For the orange and black, after a field goal for LAHS, Galindo scored on a 12-yard run in the first quarter and Chris Flores picked off a Nogales pass and returned it for a Lobo touchdown.

In the second quarter, Avery Wells threw an 82-yard scoring pass to Amari’e Maddox for a score and a 24-8 lead. Later in the quarter Galindo got loose again, rushing for a 52-yard touchdown. He added to that with a 79-yard TD turn and all that was in the first half.

In the third quarter, Raul Cruz ran it in from 10 yards out to up the score to a 44-8 Lobo lead. Los Amigos got its final score on a 1-yard rush by Jayvin Le.

The Lobos will close out their pre-league schedule on Sept. 26 at Monsoor Stadium on the Garden Grove High campus hosting Western Christian High of Upland.

Ocean View snapped a four-game losing streak on Thursday night by defeating host Bolsa Grande 30-0 in a non-league game.

The Seahawks are now 1-4 and will face Los Amigos on Oct. 4.

Bolsa (1-3) will next be in action on Saturday, Sept. 28 visiting Channel Islands High in Oxnard.
